Five finalists will compete for the grand prize valued at $100,000 during the 2021 SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
Fifteen entrepreneurs will be pitching their businesses to a panel of industry celebrity judges.
Nearly 200 applications received for 9th annual product-pitching competition. Five finalists will go on to compete for grand prize package valued at $92,000.
Updates designed to foster greater innovation in the 2021 competition for entrepreneurs, innovators and inventors – removes age cap, offers bigger prize package, includes nationwide promotional support.
Fifteen participants will advance to the six-week online voting stage.
Since 2013, the SEMA Launch Pad program has given young entrepreneurs, students and business owners ages 18 to 39 an opportunity to launch their products into the $43 billion automotive aftermarket industry. The program shows emerging business owners how to develop, market and boost their automotive products or services by teaching them business strategies used by industry experts.
Presented by the Young Executives Network (YEN), the SEMA Launch Pad is offering a top prize of $10,000 and exhibit space at the 2019 SEMA Show.
The top 10 finalists in the 2018 SEMA Launch Pad program were selected online in a public voting process.
“SEMA Launch Pad is about discovering young leaders who have great automotive products,” said Launch Pad Task Force Chair Celina Ingargiola. “The program is dedicated to supporting groundbreaking ideas from some of the industry’s emerging stars.”
