Nexus Automotive International Enhances Supplier Relationships With Extended ‘Think Global, Act Local’ Approach
NEXUS Automotive International is opening strategically located supplier management hubs in some of the world’s most important markets, in line with its philosophy to “Think Global, Act Local.”
Following its acceptance into the World Economic Forum, NEXUS participated in the Forum’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC), held July 1-3 in Dalian. The AMNC is a global summit on innovation and entrepreneurship.
VIPAR Heavy Duty was recognized for its high achievement, significant growth and leadership and was selected from a field of more than 40 N! heavy-duty members and member networks.
Senior figures from some of the world’s leading parts manufacturers and suppliers met in Switzerland last week to hear why China has the potential to be the new “Eldorado of the global aftermarket.” The invitation-only event included presentations by Wayne Yao, MD China, Asia, for Wolk Aftermarket, who presented the latest market data, and Geng Wu, associate partner with management consultants McKinsey, who shared his analysis of the Chinese aftermarket.
The NEXUS Academy training program has gathered pace with events taking place in India, China and Argentina.
NEXUS Brazil members have already undertaken training for their dedicated sales teams. Later this year there will be a course developed for purchasing teams, with a focus on “Industry 4.0” and the impact of the autonomous vehicle.
North America was confirmed as the No. 1 region within the global N! community in March last year, when initial member Automotive Distribution Network was joined by Automotive Parts Associates and VIPAR Heavy Duty.
