The 2018 Federated Auto Parts 400 on Saturday, Sept. 22 will mark the seventh consecutive year of the entitlement sponsorship, and the race will move two weeks later into the playoffs for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series.
As part of the sponsorship, Schrader will conduct “Get Dirty with Kenny” racing experiences for Federated members and their Car Care customers at dirt tracks across the country.
Shops may be self-nominated or nominated by others and will be evaluated based on a set of criteria established by Federated, which can be found on the online nomination form. Nominations must be received by Jan. 26, 2018, to be eligible.
“Our Federated Car Care program has expanded significantly over the past several years and a lot of that growth has to do with the involvement of our supplier partners,” said John Marcum, director of marketing, Federated Auto Parts.
“My dad believed in the power of education and the need to prepare the next generation of leaders. He would be gratified to see the high caliber of students who are receiving scholarships in his name,” said Bo Fisher, chairman of Federated Auto Parts.
The Federated Vendor Hall of Fame recognizes one individual each year who demonstrates dedication to excellence, helping to make a difference for Federated and its members.
“To showcase our exclusive Federated Cobra Kit Car that will be built on an upcoming episode of ‘Two Guys Garage,’ we thought it would be fun to kick things off with something special for our followers on Facebook,” said Phil Moore, senior vice president of Federated Auto Parts.
The Federated Car Care scholarships are funded by Fisher Auto Parts in memory of the late Art Fisher, founder of Federated Auto Parts, and are administered by the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.
The Group will focus on many key areas during its leadership, member and shareholder sessions, including telematics, information technology, training, national accounts, cataloging and the Co-Man warehouse.
Each Friday through March 17, Federated will announce four winners of free gas cards on its Federated Auto Parts and Federated Car Care Facebook pages.
The grand opening will coincide with the company’s 43rd anniversary on May 1.
