Kendrick previously served as president and general manager of BorgWarner’s Turbo Systems Business. Interim President and CEO Jason Luo has been named chairman of the board of directors.
Luo was formerly chairman and CEO of Ford China and, prior to that, was president and CEO of Key Safety Systems. Luo has been a director of Accuride Corp. since March 2018 and also serves as a senior adviser to Crestview Partners, the majority owner of Accuride.
The sale was required by the European Commission as part of the company’s June acquisition of mefro wheels.
“Bandit events feature intense action, so this gives us a way to test our wheels’ durability in the most extreme environment,” said Accuride President and CEO Rick Dauch.
The acquisition extends geographical and end-market diversification, adding automotive and off-highway business for Accuride.
Kendrick will serve as an independent director, and brings extensive global operations leadership experience.
Six regional centers offer aftermarket customers the full range of Accuride-, KIC- and Gunite-branded products. The additional centers will phase in operation during first quarter of 2018
Accuride also received the 2017 Quality Excellence Award for exceeding Great Dane’s quality performance expectations.
The company has reorganized into three business units; makes key business unit leadership appointments.
The technology has been designed for North American commercial vehicle fleets seeking long-life hub performance, and truck and trailer OEMs that want to simplify wheel end installation and boost throughput during assembly.

Among other appointments, Accuride has promoted Chad Monroe (pictured) to senior vice president, sales and marketing and business development. In this role, Monroe will lead its global sales and marketing function.
