The S&W Performance Group has reached a 60-year milestone. The company was founded in 1959 by Walter Weney, in a modest two-car garage. During the past 60 years, S&W’s race cars, race parts, rod parts and precision specialties divisions have outgrown three buildings and currently operate out of the company’s 27,000-square-foot, custom-built facility. Throughout its expansion, the global company has remained in the same town it was established, Spring City, Pennsylvania.
“The Weney family is grateful and humbled. It took a lot of blood, sweat and tears from family members and our dedicated group of employees, to reach the 60-year milestone. Our past and continued success in commercial manufacturing and the performance racing industry would not be possible without the support of loyal customers, vendors, track owners, promoters and sanctioning bodies,” said S&W’s President, Michael Weney.
The company’s 60th anniversary celebration and associated activities have officially commenced and will last until year’s end. Customers are encouraged to join the S&W e-newsletter mailing list, check the company’s social pages @swracecars and visit the website often, to view the limited edition collectible anniversary swag, specials and promotions.
