Sun Auto Tire & Service Acquires McSpadden’s

Four Austin-based locations join portfolio, accelerating growth and expanding offerings in the “Lone Star State.”

Sun Auto Tire & Service, Inc. has announced the acquisition of McSpadden’s Tire & Automotive, a Texas-based, full-service automotive repair business. With the addition of four full-service locations in the Austin market, the acquisition broadens Sun Auto Tire & Service’s presence in Texas, where it currently has operations in Austin in addition to the company’s existing footprint in Houston and the Dallas / Fort Worth Metroplex.

The acquired McSpadden’s stores are located at:

·      4241 South Congress (Congress)

·      14422 West Highway 71 (Bee Cave)

·      14824 North Interstate 35 (Wells Branch)

·      420 South FM 1626 (Buda)

“These strategically located stores allow us to broaden our footprint in Austin and better serve our customers in this dynamic industry,” said Sun Auto Regional Vice President Jim Ramsey. “Acquisitions are the cornerstone of the Sun Auto Tire & Service growth strategy, and the strong community bonds McSpadden’s has built over the past 20 years will further our mission to be the leading provider of quality aftermarket automotive repair, maintenance and tire services in the Southwest.”

These locations offer a total of 36 bays: eight at Congress, Bee Cave and Wells Branch and 12 at Buda. With the addition of these new stores, Sun Auto Service now operates 207 tire and service stores across Texas, Arizona, California, Oklahoma and Nevada.
