Premium Guard Inc. (PGI), a global sourcing platform for automotive replacement parts, has just appointed aftermarket industry veteran Steve Horn as its corporate ambassador and senior strategist. The announcement was made by Anan Bishara, president and CEO of PGI, who noted that Horn will take part in shaping the company’s business strategies.
Horn will report directly to Bishara. He also will have additional responsibilities including customer strategy, product strategy, directing special projects and involvement in industry events.
PGI created the position of corporate ambassador and senior strategist in direct response to the company’s exceptional growth and expansion in the aftermarket. Bishara noted, “As our business has continued to prosper and grow, we recognize the importance of having seasoned industry veterans on board to help advise our management team and expand our overall capabilities. Steve Horn brings nearly four decades of aftermarket experience to our team and he has held senior management positions on both the distribution and supplier sides of the business. He will be an incredible asset to PGI.”
Before joining PGI, Horn worked in a variety of positions at ATP Automotive from 2010 to 2016, including vice president of sales, senior vice president of sales and executive vice president. Prior to joining ATP, Horn was the vice president of sales and marketing at Champion Laboratories, where he initiated the global rebranding of the Luber-finer brand. Before Champion, he was the business unit president at Perfection Clutch, a division of the Marmon Group and was responsible for building a new sales group in the U.S. and Canada. Horn also has served in senior leadership positions at ARI, Raybestos Brakes and Apex Automotive Warehouse.
Horn has been involved with various Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) committees during his career and has earned the AAP and MAAP designations from the University of the Aftermarket. He is a recipient of the AWDA “Pursuit of Excellence” award and the Northwood University Automotive Education Award. Horn also is a member and former board member of the Automotive Sales Council.
Horn holds a Bachelor of Business degree from Western Illinois University.
