Michael Cowley has been named vice president of engineering and program management for Stant Corp.

Cowley came to Stant Corp. from Roush Industries, where he led the team in solving alternative fuel systems concerns. Prior to joining Roush, Cowley served as director of global advance technology and application engineering at TI Automotive, where he led the global design and release of fuel system components for vehicle OEMs.

“At Stant, we are committed to being best to market in all we do while aggressively expanding our global business. The addition of Michael Cowley to our leadership team is the latest example of those efforts,” said Tim King, senior vice president of global sales for Stant Corp. “Together with his team, Michael will lead the charge to increase market share by expanding, identifying and developing strategic fuel management and thermal management systems; expanding product offerings; enhancing customer relationships; and earning new business across our original equipment, industrial and aftermarket product lines.”

Cowley started his career at Ford Motor Co., spending 31 years in various product development positions and ultimately leading the company’s global powertrain fuel system division. A graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, Cowley also earned a Master of Science degree in engineering from Wayne State University.

With Cowley’s hiring, Stant says it continues to build upon its existing global engineering organization that will leverage common objectives, standards, procedures and designs.
