Spectronics Corp. Promotes Limin Chen To VP Of Manufacturing

Limin began his career at Spectronics in 1993 as a mechanical product development engineer.

Limin-Chen-headshotWESTBURY, N.Y. – Spectronics Corp. has announced the promotion of Limin Chen to the position of vice president of manufacturing and special projects.

Limin began his career at Spectronics in 1993 as a mechanical product development engineer, and has been the lead engineer for the Pipe Freezer, UV EPROM/Wafer Eraser and Grid Lamp products for more than 10 years. He has also worked on fluorescent leak detection products and been involved in other areas as well.

Before joining Spectronics, Limin worked as a product development engineer at the Shanghai General Machinery Corp. for eight years. He holds an associate’s degree in manufacturing and a master’s degree in business administration, as well as bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering.

As part of his new role, Limin will direct and guide Spectronics’ manufacturing/engineering team in establishing procedures and all required documents in the manufacturing process from start to finish. The team also will supply the production department with the proper tools, equipment and machines needed to fulfill orders on a timely basis, produce products of the highest quality and monitor ongoing productivity improvements.

In addition, Limin will direct and guide Spectronics’ plant engineering team, which is responsible for the overall maintenance of the manufacturing facility.
