Spectra Premium Invests In New Stainless Steel Fuel Tank Assembly Line In Sweden

This new facility, expected to open in October, will feature cutting-edge manufacturing processes and will integrate with the company’s engineering and fuel testing laboratory activities to foster the future growth of the company in the European market.

Spectra Premium Industries, through its European subsidiary TechROi Fuel Systems AB (TFS), has announced an investment in a new stainless-steel fuel tank assembly line in Trollhättan, Sweden. This new facility, expected to open in October, will feature cutting-edge manufacturing processes and will integrate with the company’s engineering and fuel testing laboratory activities to foster the future growth of the company in the European market.

“This investment follows our production optimization efforts of stainless-steel fuel tanks destined [for] the European market following the acquisition of TFS last August,” said Jacques Mombleau, president and CEO of Spectra Premium Industries Inc. “The new Trollhättan site, which will consolidate our design, engineering and production operations at the same location, will improve our competitiveness in the European OEM market.”

Founded in 2012, TFS, headquartered in Trollhättan, Sweden, designs, engineers and manufactures stainless steel fuel tanks for the OEM market. The company presently operates a manufacturing facility in Bengtsfors, Sweden and a technical center in Trollhättan.

Since August 2018, the company has been a European subsidiary of Spectra Premium Industries Inc. based in Boucherville, Québec, in Canada.
