LINCOLNSHIRE, IL — Snap-on Diagnostics has introduced its new SOLUS PRO Scanner that gives its users a competitive edge in the always evolving automotive repair industry.

SOLUS PRO delivers VIN-specific coverage for a wide-range of models from more than 30 vehicle makes. The new scanner provides a depth of trouble codes, data parameters, bi-directional tests and Fast-Track Troubleshooter repair strategies.
Snap-on said SOLUS PRO is the go-to source for information when there is no code present. Troubleshooter features symptom tips that present step-by-step instructions together with live data readings and tests. These are capabilities that help cut diagnostic time and confirm the repair.
SOLUS PRO features include a rechargeable battery and charging station, an easy-to-read backlit color display, a replaceable display shield, membrane-style buttons with tactile feel, USB and mini USB ports for printing, input devices, flash drives and PC connectivity, a CompactFlash expansion slot, previous 25 vehicle list, a taskbar displaying vehicle identification, 2,000 frame movie captures, an internal clock, OBD-II adapter and keys, 11 OBD-I adapters required for 1996 and newer, a user documentation CD, a Fast-Track references DVD, a hands-on training DVD and ShopStream Connect compatibility.
The scanner comes standard with domestic and Asian software and all the adapters required for 1996 and newer vehicles. An optional adapter kit is available for complete coverage back to 1980. For advanced BMW, Mercedes and VW/Audi, the European software activation and adapter kit is also available.
