ShowMeTheParts, GCommerce Announce Unified Parts Catalog

The integration of ShowMeTheParts and Virtual Inventory Cloud means that distributors can look up and order hard-to-find products from hundreds of brands through a single interface.

ShowMeTheParts and GCommerce have announced the availability of a unified parts catalog and B2B ordering solution for the automotive aftermarket – the ShowMeTheParts B2B GCommerce Edition. ShowMeTheParts is one of the most current parts catalogs in the aftermarket, featuring more than 350 brands and fast turnaround. GCommerce is the maker of the Virtual Inventory Cloud (VIC), a real-time B2B ordering solution that delivers special order and drop shipment product availability, prices and freight estimates for leading automotive brands – in seconds.

The integration of ShowMeTheParts and VIC means that distributors can lookup and order hard-to-find products from hundreds of brands through a single interface. The ShowMeTheParts B2B GCommerce Edition saves parts professionals valuable time and reduces the steps required to identify, locate and order product from manufacturer suppliers, the company says.

“ShowMeTheParts is the industry’s largest catalog of automotive, heavy-duty, power sport, marine and agricultural parts for applications as far back as 1901,” said Jay Wright, president and CEO of Vertical Development, parent company of ShowMeTheParts. “Our partnership and product integration with VIC from GCommerce makes it easier and faster to capture additional sales for drop ship or special orders. All of the look-up, locate and ordering functionality is delivered through a single interface that marries VIC with ShowMeTheParts.”

“The special order and drop ship ordering process is time-consuming and actually discourages parts professionals from investing the effort to identify, locate and order the hard-to-find products their customers need,” said Scott Luckett, vice president of industry strategy for GCommerce. “By integrating VIC with the ShowMeTheParts catalog, our distribution customers and their suppliers can increase sales by making the special order/drop ship ordering process fast, accurate and efficient.”

ShowMeTheParts B2B GCommerce Edition features the familiar catalog look-up interface that thousands of users have come to rely upon. With the addition of the shopping cart and VIC login, distributors can receive a quote response with the product availability, estimated shipping costs, pricing, special charges and estimated time of delivery all in seconds, without leaving the catalog.

ShowMeTheParts and GCommerce will be demonstrating the ease-of-use and powerful features of integrated solutions at AAPEX booths No. 3662 and No. 3663 from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2 in the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas. To schedule a demonstration, visit VerticalDev.com, download the brochure, write to [email protected] or call 847-609-9540.
