Since his early days as an exceptional student athlete, Dr. Tim Nash has devoted his entire adult life to Northwood University. From his time working in student housing, to when he was in the classroom as an award-winning professor, Nash has impacted thousands of students over his career. More recently, Nash has served his alma mater in a variety of leadership roles including dean, provost, vice president of graduate programs, and most recently, senior VP, strategic and corporate alliances. Most recently Nash created the McNair Center’s COVID-19 Optimism Index to measure the nation’s movement from pre-COVID-19 pandemic through the current COVID-19 crisis. The McNair Optimism Index is being referenced by business leaders throughout America and serves as a signal that the economy has returned to conditions close to or equal to those which existed pre-COVID-19.
With his legacy well entrenched, and after more than four decades walking the halls of Northwood’s campus, Nash has decided it is a good time to give more of himself to Pam, their children and grandchildren. Effective June 30, Nash will step down from his senior vice president role. Nash has agreed to remain in a part-time capacity as director, McNair Center for the Advancement of Free-Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.
