Snap-on Appoints Former BorgWarner CEO and Chairman to Board
John Fiedler, retired chairman and CEO of BorgWarner, has been appointed to Snap-on’s board of directors. Fiedler served as BorgWarner’s chairman and CEO until 2003. Prior to 1995, he was president and COO. During his tenure, BorgWarner increased its revenues from $800 million to roughly $3 billion.

BorgWarner has appointed Olaf Weber to the newly created position of vice president, engine research and development. In this new role, Weber will be responsible for identifying technological and market trends in engines, and developing new systems that will enable BorgWarner to leverage the company’s capabilities and expand into new areas of the engine business.
BorgWarner Announces 40 Percent Increase to Quarterly Dividend
The board of directors of BorgWarner has declared a quarterly dividend of $0.25 per share on all of the company’s issued and outstanding common stock. The dividend has been increased by 40 percent over the previous dividend amount.
