Red Line Oil Continues NHRA Major Sponsorship

Company plans to offer more than $125,000 in cash contingency prizes and will feature product displays at 16 NHRA events in 2012.

BENICIA, Calif. — Red Line Synthetic Oil Corp. has announced its 14th year of partnership with the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) as an official Major Sponsor of the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series. Red Line will post more than $125,000 in contingency prizes to NHRA drag racers in various professional and sportsman categories. The company announced that it is also continuing its major technical partnerships with some of the racing industry’s most successful drag racing teams.

"Our program with NHRA is a strong part of the culture at Red Line. Though much of our business is done with installers and high-performance automotive fans, the racers are how we got started and it’s a market in which we will always continue to provide support," said Cameron Evans of Red Line. "We make the proof of purchase process for contingency verification very easy. Our strongest racer participation is in categories like Stock and Super Stock, where Red Line’s lower viscosities and longer drain intervals still provide the best equation of wear and performance."

Red Line has also announced it will continue collaboration with FM3 Marketing and Optima Batteries. A mobile display with product available for sale to racers and fans will be presented on the NHRA Nitro Alley Manufacturer’s Midway at the following 16 NHRA Full Throttle events:

• Feb. 9-12 Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, Pomona, Calif.
• Feb. 17-19 Firebird Int’l Raceway, Phoenix, Ariz.
• April 13-15 zMAX Dragway, Charlotte, N.C.
• May 4-6 Atlanta Dragway, Commerce, Ga.
• May 31-June 3 Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, Englishtown, N.J.

• Oct. 25-28 The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas, Nev.
• Nov. 8-11 Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, Pomona, Calif.

Red Line also supports several top Pro teams including Kalitta Motorsports, Alan Johnson’s Al Anabi Top Fuel team and KB Racing, among others.

"For the Top Fuel and Funny Car teams, it requires more than 4 gallons of oil each run, with Red Line’s 70WT Race Oil being the only product on the market with which you can do the warm up and the run on the same batch of oil," Evans said. "This cost savings and convenience really make a difference to the bottom line, whether you’re the champs like Al Anabi or a smaller team on minimal budget."

Official decals and additional contingency information are available at both the track display as well as contacting Red Line at (800) 624-7958 or [email protected].
