Record Attendance at the ADS 2010 Convention and Tradeshow

More than 650 attendees of the 54th annual meeting gathered for timely industry topic seminars and workshops, technical training, panel discussions and networking events.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Association of Diesel Specialists (ADS) hit record attendance numbers at the 2010 ADS International Convention and Tradeshow — "Branding Clean Diesel" — from Aug. 3-6, in Grapevine, Texas.

More than 650 attendees of the 54th annual meeting gathered for timely industry topic seminars and workshops, technical training, panel discussions and networking social events. Educational seminars included presentations by several industry manufacturers, a representative from the Diesel Technology Forum and technical discussions on turbochargers and hydraulic hybrid solutions.

In addition to the educational opportunities, attendees were able to visit the 2010 ADS Tradeshow, where they could seek out and view the latest in supplies, equipment, parts and other services designed to make their companies more profitable and competitive in today’s marketplace.

At the start of the convention, attendees took a moment to remember founding member and first ADS President Herbert Wittersheim, who passed away July 25 at the age of 89. The 2010 ADS Convention marked the first ADS Convention that Wittersheim missed. Attendees honored his memory by continuing a great tradition and making the ADS convention a huge success.

ADS will now look forward to planning the 2011 ADS Convention and Tradeshow scheduled for Aug. 2–6, 2011 at the Wynn Las Vegas in Las Vegas.
