This new board is charged with advising Polk on its strategic position in the commercial vehicle sector, product offerings, providing input on marketing communication strategies and supporting Polk’s commercial vehicle sales team in growing customer relationships.

SOUTHFIELD, MI — R. L. Polk & Co. has announced the formation of its first-ever commercial vehicle advisory board. This new board is charged with advising Polk on its strategic position in the commercial vehicle sector, product offerings, providing input on marketing communication strategies and supporting Polk’s commercial vehicle sales team in growing customer relationships.

Polk’s new commercial vehicle advisory board includes experienced individuals with backgrounds in both the business world and the commercial vehicle center. The board includes: Ken Maust, vice president of sales and marketing at Bushings, and former senior manager distributor operations and market analysis for Detroit Diesel; Gordon Ulsh, president and CEO of FleetPride and former president and COO of Federal-Mogul; and Spencer Barnhart, Partner of J. Walter Thompson and formerly with various divisions of General Motors including Detroit Diesel, Allison and GMC Truck.

“Members of the Commercial Vehicle Advisory Board will provide valuable input that will assist us in offering the commercial vehicle segment powerful, cost effective solutions,” said Mike Gingell, vice president of Polk’s North American commercial vehicle operations. “The knowledge and experience of our board members will become a vital resource as we continue to brand and expand our commercial vehicle solutions. I look forward to working closely with the board members in order to grow our commercial business.”
