HOUSTON, Texas — Houston-based wholesale automotive parts distributor, XL Parts recently announced plans to build a new, state-of-the-art, 187,000-square-foot corporate office and distribution facility to further enable the company to continue its aggressive growth strategy.

The warehouse, which will be located on a 24-acre site in Houston, is scheduled to be completed in late December with a move-in date of January 2005.

“This facility will allow XL Parts to better service our expanding customer base throughout Southeast Texas.” said Ali Attayi, president of XL Parts. “In our first three years, we have already surpassed the capacity of our existing warehouse. With this new facility, we can expect improved customer service, a better work environment for our associates and the ability to continue our expansion plans well into the future.”

Terry Bryden, general manager of XL Parts, focused on the increased operational efficiencies that the new facility would bring. “By integrating our distribution systems, which are currently separated, we will greatly enhance our ability to provide the superior service our customers have come to expect.”

XL Parts is a National Pronto Association Member that distributes automotive repair parts direct to the installer from 20 Houston area locations. Dealer Service Warehouse, a subsidiary of XL Parts, distributes original equipment automotive parts to Ford, General Motors and Lincoln Mercury dealers throughout Southeast Texas.

CCC Report Analyzes Labor Pressures, Vehicle Complexity

CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. (CCC) announced it has published its 2024 Crash Course Report, which indicates that increasing vehicle complexity, combined with rising labor costs and shortages, are placing persistent pressure on both insurers and repairers.

New findings show that while vehicles may be safer, more capable of avoiding crashes and more environmentally friendly, advanced technology is contributing to costlier repairs, higher claims costs and longer cycle times. Additional factors, such as scheduling backlogs, have contributed to the 60% increase in the amount of time it takes for vehicles to enter repair shops after estimate completion, compared to pre-pandemic times.
