MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. More than 250 customers, present and past employees, suppliers, National Pronto Association personnel and friends gathered in Minneapolis, Minn., on Aug. 27 to officially celebrate the 100th anniversary of Pioneer Rim & Wheel Co.
Pioneer Rim & Wheel Co. opened for business in 1911 and today serves more than 5,000 auto service providers and manufacturers through seven locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota.
Attendees of the anniversary celebration were treated to a fun-filled afternoon watching the Minnesota Twins baseball game from the Budweiser Roof Deck at Minnesota’s Target Field, followed by evening social and dinner events at the Radisson Plaza Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The evening was full of history, fun stories and reminiscing about the company’s past 100 years, according to event organizers. In addition, through company fundraising efforts during the weekend and other 100th anniversary events throughout the year, Bill Cousins, vice president of Pioneer Rim & Wheel, presented a check for $10,000 to the National Alzheimer’s Association during the dinner.
Other events marking Pioneer’s 100th anniversary have included golf outings in Minneapolis and Madison, Wis., as well as open house celebrations in each location, and special customer promotions throughout the year.
