Pickups Plus Appoints New COO

Pickups Plus, a leading retailer and national franchiser in the $38 billion truck and SUV aftermarket accessory industry, has appointed Sean Hayes COO. Hayes who joined Pickups Plus, in April 2003, will lead the integration of the company's new acquisition, Auto Preservation, into the company's corporate structure and expansion plans. Hayes will also be in charge of disseminating appropriate information to shareholders and the expansion of the company's franchising business.

CINCINNATI — Pickups Plus, a leading retailer and national franchiser in the $38 billion truck and SUV aftermarket accessory industry, has appointed Sean Hayes COO. Hayes who joined Pickups Plus, in April 2003, will lead the integration of the company’s new acquisition, Auto Preservation, into the company’s corporate structure and expansion plans. Hayes will also be in charge of disseminating appropriate information to shareholders and the expansion of the company’s franchising business.

According to Merritt Jesson, president and COO of Pickups Plus, Hayes has been a key ingredient in the company’s recovery, expansion, investment and strategic planning.

Prior to joining Pickups Plus, Hayes was the managing director of REIS Strategic Alliances, LLC, a recovery, expansion, investment and strategic planning consulting firm. Hayes has more than 15 years experience with extensive background in marketing, contract negotiations, new product development and multi-location sales management. Prior to founding REIS, he served as the executive vice president of Shared Technologies Cellular, Inc. Hayes’ expertise is in public and private fund raising, placement and merchandising of consumer products through retail distribution and nationwide rollouts of retail locations.
