PetroChoice Acquires Commercial Distributing Inc.

PetroChoice, a leading provider of lubrication solutions, announces the lubricant business acquisition of Commercial Distributing Inc. (CDi), headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

CDi has been a distributor of lubricants in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas, specializing in the automotive market.

“We welcome CDi’s associates and customers to PetroChoice,” said Celeste Mastin, CEO of PetroChoice. “PetroChoice currently services customers in this footprint, and the addition of CDi locations will prove beneficial to our commitment to anticipate and meet our customers’ needs.”

I identified technology in distribution methods as being important in my vision for our regional distribution effort and the future of this industry, and PetroChoice is at the forefront of these endeavors.”

Mastin added, “I’m also delighted that Mike Barcum has agreed to join the PetroChoice CEO Strategy Council. The Council is an advisory board which provides ideas, support and a superior industry network of contacts to me and our leadership team. Other members of that team include leaders from former PetroChoice acquisitions: Steve King (Anderson Lubricants), Ross Smith (Miller Industrial Fluids), Rick Palmore (Universal Lubricants) and Mike Foltz (LubriCorp).”

Effective immediately, CDi will be operating as PetroChoice.

Federated Auto Parts Distributors announced it is entering into a collaboration with the Association of Independent Oil Distributors (AIOD) – one it said will focus on mutual benefits for the respective members.

“Federated is constantly looking at ways to improve value for all constituents and this agreement provides that,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated. “This collaboration provides added volume and opportunities for our suppliers, new partners for our members, and added supply points and products for shop customers. We have enjoyed working closely with several AIOD members in the past and this agreement will expand and create further opportunities for both Federated and AIOD.”
