Peterson Manufacturing (PM) has added three new sales agency partners to the PM team: Bill Murray & Associates (BMA); Hirsig-Frazier Co.; and John Rice of NorthPro. The new additions were put in place at the beginning of 2017, and represent a significant expansion of coverage in Peterson’s sales territories, the company said.
“These new partners bring larger staffs with decades of heavy duty channel expertise to our sales force,” said Steve Meagher, Peterson vice president – sales. “They replace a single agency that previously covered all of these territories. We’re confident that having these professionals will greatly enhance our territory management, customer service and prospecting.”
BMA is based in Birmingham and will cover eight southeastern states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. With more than 40 years of experience, BMA has built a reputation for excellence in the automotive and heavy-duty aftermarkets.
Dallas-based Hirsig-Frazier has been a leading full-service agency in the automotive and heavy-duty markets since 1972 and will handle Peterson coverage in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas.
John Rice was a popular Peterson sales manager for more than 15 years. Now with the NorthPro agency, a long-time Peterson partner, Rice is a perfect match to work with the Peterson team, the company says. Kansas and Missouri were added to NorthPro’s territory when Rice joined the agency.
The new sales representatives are currently attending training sessions in their respective territories. They will be introduced to Peterson products, programs and policies as well as the company’s 70-plus year history as a U.S. manufacturer of quality safety lighting in the industry. Peterson also will host all the new agencies for more extensive training on its corporate campus in Grandview later this year.
“We look forward to the enhanced level of service these new partnerships will provide our customers,” said Meagher. “And the potential of reaching a growing number of prospective customers is equally exciting.”
