Perfect Equipment Wins Supplier Award From Chrysler Group LLC

The company received the Chrysler Group LLC 2013 Emerging Supplier of the Year Award earlier this month at the automaker's 2013 Annual Strategy Meeting and Supplier Awards Ceremony held at the Palace of Auburn Hills, Mich.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Perfect Equipment, a leading wheel balance weight brand in North America and member of the WEGMANN automotive family of brands, received the Chrysler Group LLC 2013 Emerging Supplier of the Year Award earlier this month at the company’s 2013 Annual Strategy Meeting and Supplier Awards Ceremony held at the Palace of Auburn Hills, Mich.

More than 2,500 global supplier executives attended the event, including representatives from Perfect Equipment and WEGMANN automotive.

“To receive such a prestigious award from a valued partner like Chrysler is a testament to our team’s hard work,” said Perfect Equipment President and CEO Jeff Waechter. “Our goal is to ensure the success of our customers. From developing innovative products to offering world-class customer service, we are dedicated to providing our partners with solutions that help them achieve their goals.”

Award recipients were determined based on an evaluation of each company’s External Balanced Scorecard (EBSC) performance in 2012 – a rating system that evaluates supplier performance in areas such as quality, delivery, cost, warranty and partnership. The Emerging Supplier of the Year Award recognizes a high performing supplier with a lower volume of business that demonstrates tremendous potential for growth and a long-term relationship with Chrysler. Perfect Equipment has been a long-time supplier to Chrysler and is currently supplying them with premium zinc wheel balance weights. John Torvinen, director of metallic purchasing for Chrysler, presented the award.

“Perfect Equipment has been recognized for continuing to provide Chrysler with low-cost, environmentally friendly, high-quality wheel weights,” said John Torvinen. “They have also leveraged their capacity, product diversification and global platform. This, along with their Green status for all of the EBSC performance metrics, is what propelled them to the top of the list in this category when determining this year’s award winners.”
