Penda to Begin Selling Products Through Preferred eRetailer Web Sites

Company's high-tech thermoplastic tonneau cover will now be available for purchase on preferred e-retailer websites.

PORTAGE, Wis. — Penda Corp. plans to begin marketing its Venture thermoplastic tonneau cover via the World Wide Web on selected e-retailer sites.

According to Penda, Venture represents a highly differentiated “second generation” of thermoplastic tonneau cover technology that offers significant advantages over other plastic “hard” covers. While other plastic tonneau covers are manufactured from ABS, a thermoplastic material commonly used in the packaging industry, the Venture features a much stronger and more versatile composite technology favored in the aerospace industry, the company said.

“The Venture’s high-tech composite construction, consisting of a honeycomb core and two fiberglass layers, provides unmatched strength and durability for today’s trucks,” said Ulf Buergel, president and CEO of Penda Corp. “To thermoform the Venture’s outer skin, we use the same proven engineered polymer blend that is used for many exterior car components. The result is best-in-class temperature performance and UV stability.”

The company added that Venture tonneau covers marketed through leading e-retailers will come with the same personalized customer service and support that have become Penda’s hallmark.
