LEESBURG, Va. — The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) will offer the last of its written certification tests in November. The full complement of 40-plus certification tests for repair professionals and parts specialists will be offered over the course of three evenings on Nov. 10, 15 and 17. The final written tests will be given at hundreds of locations throughout the United States. The registration deadline is Sept. 30.
The November testing sessions mark the last time ASE will offer its tests in written format. After that, all ASE tests will be offered in computer-based format in four, two-month sessions annually at secure testing centers. CBT offers test-takers flexibility in scheduling, reserved appointments, year-round testing and instant test results for the same cost as traditional pencil-and-paper testing. (Visit www.ase.com/cbt for more information about ASE’s CBT testing program.)
ASE offers certification tests in the following specialties: Automobile, Automobile Service Consultant, Medium/Heavy Truck, Truck Equipment, School Bus, Transit Bus, Collision Repair and Refinish, Alternate Fuels/CNG, Parts Specialist and Advanced Series.
