Parts Plus Repair America Sweepstakes Awards Ultimate Dream Car Weekend To 5 Service Dealers

As part of this spring’s Parts Plus Repair America Sweepstakes, five service dealers from across the country recently won grand-prize trips to Los Angeles, where they will drive an array of exotic vehicles during the Ultimate Dream Car Weekend, hosted by Parts Plus Top Fuel driver Clay Millican.

Repair shops that bought from participating Parts Plus distributors and auto stores became eligible for the grand-prize drawing by accumulating points based on product purchases, all tracked online for the service dealer. The five grand-prize winners and their spouses will travel to Los Angeles this fall to drive such cars as a Lamborghini Huràcan, a Ferrari 458 Italia Coupe and a Bentley Flying Spur on the Pacific Coast Highway and in the canyons of the Santa Monica Mountains.

“I can’t think of a better grand prize for a bunch of car guys,” said Bob Barstow, vice president of marketing for the Automotive Distribution Network. “It’s not every day you get to cruise around Southern California in cars you’ve dreamed about. This promotion’s success is a testament to the quality products produced by our manufacturer partners and the commitment of the group’s service dealer customers to install the best parts available.”

“I don’t buy parts — my customers buy parts,” said grand-prize winner Paul Seghposs, manager/president of Glenmoor Auto Repair, based in Fremont, California. “I always steer my customers toward the right parts they need so I can get the job done right the first time and make them happy. My participation in the promotion was so seamless that I didn’t even realize I was qualified for the grand prize — everything was taken care of for me.”

Federated Auto Parts Distributors announced it is entering into a collaboration with the Association of Independent Oil Distributors (AIOD) – one it said will focus on mutual benefits for the respective members.

“Federated is constantly looking at ways to improve value for all constituents and this agreement provides that,” said Sue Godschalk, president of Federated. “This collaboration provides added volume and opportunities for our suppliers, new partners for our members, and added supply points and products for shop customers.
