Steve Handschuh to Lead AASA

Steve Handschuh, an automotive aftermarket industry veteran of more than 30 years, has been named executive director of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) and vice president of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA), effective Feb. 25. CARE Announces Changes in its Board of Directors

The Coalition for Auto Repair Equality (CARE) announced changes and additions to its board including a new chairman and two new directors. On behalf of the board, David Parde, president of CARE, announced that Ted Wise, co-president of O’Reilly Auto Parts, has been elected as the new chairman. He replaces Art Lottes III, president of CARQUEST, who is retiring from CARQUEST and CARE after serving for the past three years as chairman of the CARE board.

The National Catalog Managers Association (NCMA) held its 32nd annual Knowledge Exchange conference last month in Tempe, Ariz. Since 2004, the organization has been using its annual meeting as an opportunity to raise money for the Aftermarket Foundation. Founded in 1959 as the Jesselson Benevolent Association, the Aftermarket Foundation assists individuals and families in the automotive aftermarket through difficult times.
