National Pronto Association Presents Vendor Awards at Fall Meeting

National Pronto Association announced that its Fall Membership Meeting held Sept. 25-27 in Nashville, TN, was a success. More than 300 people, including 61 warehouse owners and 116 vendors were in attendance. Ray Renehan from Stone Wheel, Inc. was named the 2007 Executive of the Year, in recognition of his voluntary contributions to the National Pronto Association.

University of the Aftermarket Unveils New Web Site

MIDLAND, MI — Like several leading aftermarket manufacturers and distribution organizations, the University of the Aftermarket has enhanced its presence on the World Wide Web with a highly interactive new website, www.northwood.edu/aftermarket. The new site replaces the functionally limited www.univaftmkt.org site established when the University of the Aftermarket became an operating unit of Northwood University.

NGK Spark Plugs Hires Three New Execs

NGK Spark Plugs (U.S.A.) has named Mark Manos and Scott Haynes new district sales managers for the company. In addition, Kevin Lyle has been appointed to the position of product specialist.

Hahn Automotive Warehouse to Acquire Prime Automotive Parts Co.

Hahn Automotive Warehouse, Inc., a Rochester, NY-based company, and Prime Automotive Parts Co., Inc., a Glendale, NY-based company, have announced that they have signed a definitive agreement for Hahn to acquire Prime. Both Hahn and Prime are warehouse distributors of aftermarket automotive parts. Prime’s President, Robert Scheer, will continue to manage and oversee Prime’s daily operations following the completion of the transaction.

WHI Solutions Presents Awards for Best Catalog Quality at the 2007 NCMA Meeting

WHI (formerly known as Wrenchead) recently presented catalog quality awards to five leading aftermarket manufacturers: ACDelco, Autopart International, CARDONE Industries, Fenco and Gates Corp. These five companies were recognized for catalog excellence in the past year. According to WHI, they have set the bar high for creating and maintaining timely, accurate and complete catalog data.
