He went on to hold a variety of management positions within the industry, including vice president of marketing, Dorman Products; director of sales and marketing, Ken-Tool; and general manager, The Timken Corp. In 2007, Cameron joined the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), where he served as vice president, programs and services as well as executive director of the Brake Manufacturers Council.
