This “Data Did You Know” item comes from Babcox Media Audience Insights Manager Bruce Kratofil:
Vehicle miles travelled in the United States for February 2020 was 2.2% higher than it was in February 2019. (There is a two-month lag before the U.S. Department of Transportation releases monthly estimates.) The cumulative estimate for the year is 485.3 billion vehicle miles of travel. The March estimates, which will be released at the end of May, should be the first month that shows the effect of the coronavirus on travelling.
