Overheard: Good News On The Jobs Front

According to a report from the New York Times, employers added 225,000 jobs in January, when forecasters had expected a gain of about 164,000.

Quartz reported that these numbers showed the U.S. unemployment rate is now at a 50-year-low. Some experts speculate unseasonably warm weather was a contributing factor which helped created an uptick in construction, hospitality and other weather-sensitive employment areas.
