Overheard: Fed Says Auto Parts Production Remains Strong

Auto parts are being produced at a level of 9.7% more than they were in 2017, according to the Federal Reserve.

Data did you know: According to the Federal Reserve, production of auto parts and allied goods remained strong in July, increasing to 109.7 from 108.2 in June. This is an index number – the Fed compares the quantity produced in the current month and compares it to the amount produced in 2017. So that means parts are being produced at a level of 9.7% more than they were in 2017.
