Overheard: Consequences Of The Vehicle Shortage

According to the Mannheim Used Vehicle Value Index, wholesale used vehicle prices increased 9.2% last month.

Data Did You Know – A consequence of having a shortage of new autos and light trucks to buy, the price of used vehicles continues to go up. According to the Mannheim Used Vehicle Value Index, wholesale used vehicle prices (on a mix-, mileage- and seasonally adjusted basis) increased 9.2% month-over-month in October. This brought the Index to 223.7, a 38.1% increase from a year ago.
