Original One Parts Helps Two St. Louis Collision Shops

Original One Parts Partners With St. Louis Collision Shops

Bommarito Collision Centers service 17 dealerships and are OE certified in multiple brands.

For two collision repair shops in St. Louis, a partnership with Original One Parts, a provider of certified original equipment manufacturer (OEM) auto parts for use in both collision and mechanical repairs, helps ensure they are able to source the correct quality parts on a timely basis and know they will fit right the first time.

J & R Collision Center

Nic Lampe, manager of J & R Collision Center in Greenville, Illinois, has been a customer of Original One Parts for more than two years and has seen firsthand the benefits of having them as his trusted source for OEM reconditioned parts.

“One of the biggest benefits I see is that it helps us with our cycle time,” said Lampe. “Original One Parts is integrated with my CCC estimating system, so I can see if a part is in stock. When I receive the part, I know that it has been VIN-matched to fit the exact vehicle that we are working on. It looks, fits and performs the same as the new part and is ready for installation. It helps us keep the repair process moving forward.”

Lampe cited that sometimes other parts suppliers may check the part against vehicle make and model, but that particular vehicle could have different features, or a change during the manufacturing year, that results in the part received being slightly different from the one that is needed to fit the vehicle. The Original One Parts certification process that prevents that from happening is called “VINtegrity.”

“VINtegrity is our proprietary and rigorous six-step inspection and certification process that ensures all parts meet the exact fit, form and function as a new part,” said Wade Hilburn, president and CEO of Original One Parts. “We know how important cycle time is for our customers and theirs, and Original One Parts is dedicated to providing the highest quality reconditioned OEM parts that help them hit their cycle time targets.”

“Cycle time is critically important to us, the insurer and the car owner,” said Lampe. “Receiving the wrong part can mean delays of two or three days if it keeps the car from moving through the paint booth, and that can impact the flow of work through the entire shop. One of our main goals is to keep the car moving though the shop and get it back to the customer in a timely manner.”

Bommarito Collision Centers

Vince Giovando knows auto parts. He started helping his father, who was a parts manager, when he was 19 years old and has been involved with auto parts in some capacity for all his 21-year career. He is currently the parts and production manager at the main location for Bommarito Collision Centers near St. Louis, Missouri. Bommarito Collision Centers service 17 dealerships and are OE certified in multiple brands.

“Getting the right parts to our body technicians quickly keeps the production flow moving and helps us meet our promise dates,” said Giovando. “I use Original One Parts because I know that every part is an OEM part, it’s been tested and is VIN-matched so it fits and performs as it should. It is a very smooth process, too. Since I have been doing business with Original One Parts, I have not had to return a single part.”

Being part of a 17-dealer group means that Giovando’s first choice is always a new OEM part from one of their stores. But when the situation calls for it, Original One Parts is his go-to supplier for an OEM part that has been reconditioned.

“When the insurer requests that we use something other than a new part, I use Original One Parts because when I order, I can do so with confidence,” said Giovando. “I know what I receive is an OEM part, and that’s important to me. I can trust the product because I trust Original One Parts and their rigorous certification process. I keep the body techs happy because it fits and is right the first time. The pricing is right in line, so I keep the insurer happy. Most of all, I can sleep at night knowing that when the job is completed, the customer is driving away with a high-quality repair made with quality OEM parts that will perform as intended.”
