CLEVELAND, Ohio — Ohio Technical College (OTC) has been named the recipient of the 2009 MarCom Gold Award in the Overall Web Site category for its Web site www.ohiotechnicalcollege.com.
"Our Web site is a key recruiting tool for OTC and this recognition is a tribute to the hard work and creativity that has gone in to designing a first-rate online destination," said Tom King, director of enrollment management, OTC. "We are very proud to receive such an exceptional honor."
OTC’s interactive Web site allows visitors to tour the campus photo gallery, review admission processes and financial aid information, access student and alumni services and research training programs. The site offers a host of other features such as FAQs and open house details for people interested in touring OTC’s facilities.
The MarCom Awards are intended to recognize outstanding creative achievement by marketing and communication professionals. They are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The organization consists of several thousand creative professionals from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops and production companies. The association oversees awards and recognition programs, provides judges and sets standards for excellence.
Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry.
Winners were selected from more than 200 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts — marketing, publications, marketing/promotion, public service/pro bono, creativity and electronic/interactive. A complete list of winners can be found on the MarCom Awards Web site at www.marcomawards.com.
