Odyssey Batteries Named Technical Partner of Richard Childress Racing

The ODYSSEY batteries logo will be carried on the No. 07 Jack Daniel's Chevrolet team with driver Casey Mears.

WELCOME, N.C. — Richard Childress Racing (RCR) and EnerSys Energy Products Inc., which produces the ODYSSEY line of batteries, have reached agreement for Odyssey Battery to become a technical partner of Richard Childress Racing.
 
The ODYSSEY batteries logo will be carried on the No. 07 Jack Daniel’s Chevrolet team with driver Casey Mears.
 
“Becoming an Official Technical Partner of RCR for the 2009 NASCAR season is an exciting venture for EnerSys and its ODYSSEY Battery brand,” said Dave McMullen, director of marketing for EnerSys, Specialty Markets. “We look forward to working with each of the RCR teams to develop and provide solutions that will contribute to their performance on and off the track.”
 
EnerSys manufactures batteries for  automotive, marine, heavy duty equipment and powersports service and parts providers. ODYSSEY batteries are manufactured to strict quality standards in two facilities globally: Warrensburg, Mo., and Newport, Wales, U. K.
