O’Reilly Auto Parts Introduces “Buy Online, Pick-Up In Store”

This new feature pairs the convenience of browsing and shopping online with the benefit of quick, efficient access to the parts ordered via any one of O'Reilly's more than 3,200 stores in 38 states.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — O’Reilly Auto Parts said this week it is proud to be the only national auto parts retailer to offer its customers the option to buy products online and pick up in store. This new feature pairs the convenience of browsing and shopping online at OReillyAuto.com, with the benefit of quick, efficient access to the parts ordered via any one of O’Reilly’s more than 3,200 stores in 38 states.

With “Buy Online, Pick-Up In Store,” customers can shop with ease from their home computer or anywhere Internet access is available. The process is simple: log onto OReillyAuto.com, search our extensive inventory of parts and automotive accessories in your area and choose the parts you want. After selecting a method of payment and completing the transaction, the selected local store will be notified immediately and an O’Reilly parts professional will quickly ready the parts for expedited in-store pick-up. Once the full order is ready for pick-up, an e-mail will be sent informing you that the order is available. Customers then simply stop by the store and pick up their purchase.

This job isn’t needed as often as it used to be, but it’s still important.

The Purge Flushing & Filling the Coolant

If there’s any doubt to the importance of a coolant flush, let there be none. Simply put, engine coolant is a chemical. As it breaks down, it becomes increasingly acidic, leading to eventual corrosion on all the metal, plastic and rubber parts in the system.

The most misleading part is the color. Just because it may still look new doesn’t mean it acts that way. By the time coolant loses its nice hue and turns brown and rusty, it’s already years past what the service interval should have been, and it’s doing some serious damage to the cooling system. This is why it’s important to flush coolant at regular intervals.
