HOUSTON, Texas ─ The NPD Group has announced the appointment of Lee Wilson as application parts product manager for its automotive aftermarket business unit, which provides market information and insights to the aftermarket industry.
Prior to joining NPD, Wilson held a variety of positions in product, category and catalog management at Exide Technologies, a global manufacturer and recycler of lead acid batteries. His most recent position at Exide was product manager for the company’s automotive product portfolio. Wilson also was employed by Mighty Distributing System of America, a global aftermarket auto parts franchiser, where he served in product, operations and information management roles.
“We’re pleased to have Lee on the NPD automotive aftermarket team," said Travis Mitchell, executive director of product NPD’s automotive aftermarket business. "His wide-ranging aftermarket experience in parts, database and catalog management, training and development will enable him to be an immediate and valued contributor."
Wilson will be based in Houston, Texas, where NPD’s automotive aftermarket unit is located.
