Meineke Car Care Centers is set to welcome franchisees from around the world to its 2017 Meineke Convention, scheduled to take place Feb. 5-8 at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas.
Themed “One Team. One Dream,” the 2017 Meineke Conference will host nearly 1,000 Meineke franchisees, vendors, industry leaders and guest speakers to share best practices, outline the growth plan for the year ahead, participate in educational seminars, build and strengthen relationships, celebrate awards for top performers and enjoy time with colleagues, friends and family.
Headlining a great list of speakers is Steve Weatherford, NFL Super Bowl champ and former punter for the New York Giants. Weatherford is nationally recognized for his extensive philanthropic work, and his incredible strength, physique and approach to health and fitness.
On the philanthropic side, his primary outreach is focused on children, health and fitness and family. Under the umbrella of his foundation, the Steve Weatherford World Champion Foundation, Weatherford mentors close to 150,000 kids in his roles as health and fitness ambassador of the Boys and Girls Club of New Jersey. He also serves as spokesperson for Second Chance Toys, the Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, The Steve Weatherford Charity for Ghana, Rush the Punter, which is held in his hometown of Terre Haute, Indiana, to raise money for United Way, and Kicks for Kids.
In 2013, Weatherford was recognized for his outstanding community service by the NY Giants organization with the coveted Wellington Mara Award. He also was nominated for the Walter Payton Award. Featured in Men’s Fitness magazine, for his “maniacal” workout routine, teammates called Weatherford the “strongest player pound-for-pound” on the team.
Meineke also will have Jacob King, the chief marketing officer for Plenti, the U.S.’s first and only coalition loyalty program operated by American Express, on the docket. King oversees all offer marketing, data insights and analytics for the program. For more than 15 years, King has cultivated an expertise in helping companies understand the wants and needs of their customers, leveraging data and insights to create holistic strategies for improving customer loyalty. In his current role, he is responsible for connecting partners to their customers using data from more than 10 industries, influencing behavior and driving business growth.
As Meineke continues its focus on connecting more closely with its customers, King’s insights on creating an engaging customer environment will be valuable for Meineke franchisees and corporate team members alike, the company says.
