New UAF Lifetime Trustees Recognized During AWDA

Lifetime trustee designations are reserved for those exceptional donors who support the foundation’s mission of providing scholarships and educational opportunities to the next generation of industry leaders.

The University of the Aftermarket Foundation (UAF) recognized three new UAF Lifetime Trustees during the recent Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) luncheon held at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.

During his remarks, Bob Egan, MAAP, chairman of UAF, thanked Rollie & Gayle Olson and Family, Parts Authority and Parts Warehouse/Crow Burlingame for becoming new lifetime trustees. He also noted that three organizations: Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, AWDA and The Pronto Network, achieved Diamond Lifetime Trustee status.

“We are proud to welcome the Olson family, Parts Authority and Parts Warehouse as new UAF lifetime trustees,” said Egan. “I’d also like to extend my sincerest thanks to all of the UAF   lifetime trustees, including those recently achieving the diamond level. Their generous support of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation will help fund scholarships and educational initiatives for generations to come.”

At the AWDA luncheon, Egan also recognized Pete Kornafel, recipient of the prestigious UAF Educational Advocacy award and thanked him for leading the industry’s scholarship program for the past 25 years. Under Kornafel’s leadership, more than 5,700 scholarships have been awarded to students pursuing an aftermarket career. This rarely presented award honors an aftermarket leader for exceptional dedication to the pursuit of excellence in education.
