New Hampshire Counter Pro Wins Affinia Under Vehicle Group’s Spicer Showdown

LAS VEGAS — With a $10,000 grand prize on the line, 16 technicians and counter professionals from across the country gathered around a Las Vegas poker table on Oct. 31 for the Spicer Showdown, an Affina Under Vehicle Group promotion. At the end of the evening, David Dunn, of Robbins Auto Parts in Hudson, NH, outlasted the competition to win the $10,000 grand prize.

“The Spicer Showdown proved to be a once in a lifetime evening for David Dunn,” said Ken Myers, marketing manager for branded products for Spicer Chassis, part of the Affina Under Vehicle Group. “But the promotion was about more than a chance to win a poker tournament, it provided a unique opportunity for 16 sweepstakes winners and their guests to experience the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week (AAIW) activities and it gave us a great occasion to spend time with our customers.”

The 16 winners received an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas to enjoy the AAIW events and compete in the Spicer Showdown Poker Tournament, held at Bally’s Hotel Casino, located on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.

Instant-win game cards were handed out to technicians and counter professionals with every purchase of an open stock premium quality Spicer professional grade chassis between April 15 and Aug. 15.
