The Green Truck Summit, the premier alternative fuels and advanced technology conference held annually in conjunction with The Work Truck Show, now features a more comprehensive educational program for 2016. The event on March 1 includes a full day of in-depth general sessions on cutting-edge innovations for vocational trucks. Attendees also can choose from more than 30 Green Truck Summit and Work Truck Show concurrent sessions covering a range of topics from March 2-3.

Produced by NTEA The Association for the Work Truck Industry, the 2016 Green Truck Summit takes place at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. It kicks off at 8:30 a.m. on March 1 with opening remarks and a keynote address, which are followed by general sessions that run through 5 p.m. Lunch and a networking reception at 5:15 p.m. are included. Work Truck Show exhibits are open from March 2-4.

At the summit, representatives from leading fleets will share insights about their real-world experiences selecting and deploying new truck technologies. Attendees can take part in concurrent sessions on new developments in greenhouse gas regulations or the latest advancements in vehicle lightweighting, or select from a range of other Work Truck Show-related topics.

“We have united the Work Truck Show and Green Truck Summit concurrent schedules on March 2 and 3, so educational registrants for either event can attend any concurrent session on those days,” said Doyle Sumrall, NTEA managing director. “In addition to providing attendees with more diverse learning opportunities, the schedule shift allows us to host more Green Truck Summit general sessions on March 1. We are going to use this additional time to cover trending topics like CNG and telematics, which have a broad appeal.”

Other Green Truck Summit general sessions on March 1 will cover current strategies for increasing fleet productivity and developments expected in the near future. At “Technology Solutions Almost Within Reach,” truck industry experts will share their thoughts on driverless vehicles, advanced batteries, in-motion charging and fuel cells. Fleet managers can learn why their peers choose specific technologies at “Low-Cost, Big Payback Solutions from Fleets,” and hear about alternative fuel implementation developments at “Work Truck Trends and Outlook for Alternative Fuel Technology.” For a complete schedule of Green Truck Summit general sessions, go to ntea.com/greentrucksummit/schedule.

Featuring content solely focused on multi-stage commercial vehicles, the Green Truck Summit brings together fleet managers, truck manufacturers, dealers, distributors and service providers. In addition to participating in the educational program, attendees can get their technical and regulatory questions answered by NTEA staff and see the newest efficiency-boosting products in the Truck Productivity and Fuels Pavilion in the Work Truck Show exhibit hall. The 500,000-square-foot exhibit floor encompasses the latest vocational trucks, vans, vehicle components and equipment from more than 500 exhibitors.

Registration for the Green Truck Summit and The Work Truck Show 2016 is available at worktruckshow.com.
