The Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association U.S. office (JAMA USA) released its annual contributions update entitled, “40 Years of Manufacturing Excellence in America.” The release highlights how Japanese-brand automakers have established a decades-long legacy of manufacturing excellence in the United States and become an integral part of the U.S. auto industry.
The release shows that Japanese-brand automakers invested more than $57 billion in their U.S. manufacturing facilities over the past four decades and now directly provide 110,000 American jobs, a nearly 16% increase since 2020. The release also profiles Japanese-brand automakers’ extensive vehicle and engine production in the U.S., as well as their ongoing investments in sustainability.
