POTTSTOWN, Pa. — Neapco LLC, a manufacturer and supplier of driveline products headquartered in Pottstown, Pa., has announced a new corporate structure.
Neapco was spun-off from United Components Inc. (UCI) in June 2006, in a management buy-out. Neapco LLC continues as the parent company, however a new subsidiary called Neapco Components has been formed, comprised of the original core business that was acquired from UCI.
In January 2008, Neapco acquired the driveshaft operations of Ford Motor Co.’s Automotive Components Holdings (ACH) and created Neapco Drivelines in a new 345,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility located in Van Buren Township, Mich.
This new business, Neapco Components, will operate facilities in Pottstown, Pa.; Beatrice, Neb.; and Saltillo, Mexico, and will continue manufacturing highly engineered components, drivelines and steering shafts for original equipment and aftermarket automotive, truck, agricultural, off-highway and specialty vehicle applications.
In conjunction with this announcement, Keith Sanford has been promoted to the new position of executive vice president and general manager of Neapco Components, responsible for the operation of the business.
J. Robert Mangini is executive vice president and general manager of Neapco Drivelines, which supplies driveshafts to the major automakers.
Both are full service companies with independent design, testing, validation and manufacturing capabilities.
