National Auto Parts Warehouse Companies (also doing business as NPW) has announced its third acquisition for 2017: NPW has purchased the Associate Jobbers Warehouse (AJW) operations in Boaz, Alabama. The deal is set to close after the turn of the New Year.
AJW has been in business since 1955. The company operates from a 165,000-square-foot modern facility that serves more than 200 jobbers and 10 Southeast auto parts stores.
With this purchase, NPW now has a facility that services Alabama, Western Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Louisiana, South Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
National Auto Parts Warehouse companies will be operating from 15 DCs in the U.S. and Canada. The company now distributes more than 700 lines of traditional, performance, truck, chemical and engine parts brands.
Larry Pacey, president and CEO of NPW, said, “This deal is our largest acquisition to date! Associate Jobbers gives us another step in completing our coverage of geography [where] we had gaps. AJW gets us halfway to Chicago and the upper Midwest. We are closing in on having facilities in major population centers that allow us to have a same- or next-day delivery program that our customers desire.”
Sid Dooley, president of Associate Jobbers Warehouse, said, “Larry Pacey and the NPW formula will allow AJW to grow and thrive beyond its current borders and programs. Our suppliers, employees and customers will continue to have a bright future under the umbrella of a larger entity. We look forward to our next chapter.”
