CHARLOTTE, NC — NASCAR has teamed up with Mobil Travel Guide, a publisher of information for the road traveler, to produce a new travel planner for NASCAR fans. The first edition of this annual effort is scheduled to be released this month and will be titled Mobil Travel Guide: NASCAR Travel Planner.
The book will be a four-color guide to the areas surrounding NASCAR tracks. Included are more than 2,000 recommendations of where to eat, stay and explore while on the road to NASCAR races. The guide will also provide detailed information for all speedway destinations, including information about the tracks and their surrounding areas. In addition to recommendations on where to stay and eat, the Travel Planner will contain more than 85 local Mapquest maps, details on event traffic patterns and facility information, from parking and first-aid to where to hunt down driver autographs.
The NASCAR Travel Planner will also include the Mobil Star-Ratings for hotels and restaurants in a 50 to 100 mile radius of each speedway.
The Planner will be available in national bookstores and mass market retailers, as well as online at the NASCAR Library Collection Specialty Store at www.nascar.com and www.mobiltravelguide.com.
