Myers Tire Supply Announces New TPMS Programming App

The new app provides rapid programming in one tap, and it will not disturb other sensors while programming.

Myers Distribution Company, Inc., dba Myers Tire Supply, announced it is launching a new Myers-branded TPMS programming app for the U-Pro Hybrid NFC sensor. The app, Myers NFC, is available for iPhone 7 or newer with a minimum of iOS 15 and can be downloaded from the App Store now.  It can be used to program MTS#21460, MTS#2146020 and MTS#21460-100PK.

“Working with engineers from Hamaton, USA, we were able to develop an app which allows the technician to quickly and accurately program the U-Pro sensor, said Sr. Category Manager, Jordan Diller.  “This assures the consumer they are getting their car fixed right, and helps the shop service their customer more efficiently.”

The new app provides rapid programming in one tap, and it will not disturb other sensors while programming, according to Myers Tire Supply.

There are two ways to program the U-Pro Hybrid NFC sensor. The technician can program the sensor to a specific vehicle protocol, or enter an existing OE sensor ID. The manual ID option enables users to skip the relearn process as the ID (in the ECU) is unchanged. The technician can also add vehicle favorites; those vehicles that are programmed most frequently, to provide even faster access, Myers Tire Supply says.

Vehicle sensor information is automatically updated whenever the app is opened. With this app, the technician knows the vehicle database is correct for any vehicle they have in the shop.  If there is no open internet available at the time of service, the app will draw on the last database downloaded.

“This is really a game changer for both the tech and tire shop. We always strive to introduce products to the market that will make the technician’s job easier or more efficient. This app does both,” said Diller. “At Myers, we remain committed to the tire service professional, and will continue to provide exceptional sales and service, wherever wheels roll.”
