Morgan Stanley, Schwartz Advisors Present Conference

“A Technology Driven Aftermarket” explored the technology trends that frame the aftermarket of today and tomorrow.

Schwartz Advisors served as Morgan Stanley’s event partner in presenting “A Technology Driven Aftermarket” at Morgan Stanley Global Headquarters in New York City on Feb. 27. Approximately 150 investors and aftermarket executives attended the second-annual, invitation-only conference.

“A Technology Driven Aftermarket” explored the technology trends that frame the aftermarket of today and tomorrow. Investors and other aftermarket stakeholders attended to learn more about how the motor vehicle aftermarket is evolving, along with significant technological advancements in the industry. Sessions included: current aftermarket trends, evolving vehicle technology, macro-economic trends, the impact of e-commerce, evolving aftermarket business strategies and the future of automotive service.

Conference speakers and panelists featured a collaboration of Morgan Stanley economic and transportation experts and Schwartz Advisors partners, as well as aftermarket executives representing manufacturing, traditional and retail distribution, trade associations, investors and vehicle service. A “Fireside Chat” with Parts Authority CEO Randy Buller put the spotlight on the dynamic elements that drive aftermarket distribution.

“The investment community understands that the motor vehicle aftermarket represents many great opportunities,” said Schwartz Advisors CEO and Managing Partner Rick Schwartz. “As a result, they are keenly interested in fully understanding the trends and technologies that underpin our business. We thank Morgan Stanley for allowing us to serve as the event partner for such an important industry event.”
