Mitsubishi Signs NASTF Service Information Standards Agreement

Much of the standards embody the practices that have been in place for over six years, with the addition of a binding arbitration backstop included in the NASTF Dispute Resolution Process.

LEESBURG, Va. — The National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) announced that Mitsubishi Motors North America has signed the NASTF Service Information Standards Agreement, joining 12 other auto manufacturers in the agreement.

NASTF has announced earlier this month that it had officially established the NASTF Service Information Standards, which consist of three parts: definitions; automotive service information standards; and an information request and resolution process. Much of the standards embody the practices that have been in place for over six years, with the addition of a binding arbitration backstop included in the NASTF Dispute Resolution Process.

According to NASTF, manufacturers that have not yet joined the agreement are currently in various stages of review and approval. OEMs that have already signed the agreement include BMW, Volvo, Subaru, Ford, Toyota, Volkswagen, Nissan, Hyundai, Mazda, Honda, Suzuki, and Kia.
