Mitchell International Partners With Dell

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Mitchell International has announced a new formal relationship that allows the company to offer Dell hardware to its customers.

This new relationship between Dell and Mitchell enables collision repair facilities to operate Mitchell’s UltraMate, ABS and ABS Enterprise software on Dell-brand hardware. Under the terms of the Dell-Mitchell reseller relationship, Mitchell will offer its customers special pricing, lowering the cost of entry and the total cost of ownership for repair facilities.

"Our relationship with Dell allows us to offer industry-leading software solutions operating on certified and high quality hardware in one package. In turn, our customers can feel secure that they have both software and hardware to help operate their businesses more efficiently," said Jason Bertellotti, vice president of repair solutions for Mitchell International. "We’re making it easier for repair facilities to do business with us by providing easy and affordable access to a leading computer hardware brand, confident that Mitchell’s software solutions are compatible with Dell hardware. Dependable technology from a renowned brand name like Dell lets our customers focus on repairing cars, not computer hardware."

Collision repair facilities interested in learning more about installing Mitchell software on Dell computers or purchasing Dell hardware to run their Mitchell software on are urged to call 800-238-911 ext. 8508 or visit www.mitchell.com for more information.

CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. (CCC) announced it has published its 2024 Crash Course Report, which indicates that increasing vehicle complexity, combined with rising labor costs and shortages, are placing persistent pressure on both insurers and repairers.

New findings show that while vehicles may be safer, more capable of avoiding crashes and more environmentally friendly, advanced technology is contributing to costlier repairs, higher claims costs and longer cycle times. Additional factors, such as scheduling backlogs, have contributed to the 60% increase in the amount of time it takes for vehicles to enter repair shops after estimate completion, compared to pre-pandemic times.
